We at Juniper, like to keep it simple. Open early with freshly baked pastries and coffee. Breakfast, lunch, the occasional monthly dinner and a wine list always ready and waiting. Good things, simply done.

A team of four, with one interest.
Taking quality ingredients and making good food, to be enjoyed by everyone. Add in great coffee, a bakery in the basement, and a welcoming space... you have Juniper.
A changing menu focusing on seasonal offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner (monthly set-menu evenings). Alongside are shelves of freshly baked goods, day-to-day essentials and provisions for every kitchen table.

A changing menu, means we can create food that is seasonal and fresh.
But do not fear, we will always have the essentials covered.
The bakery produces fresh breads, cakes, pastries (the sweet and savoury kind) and treats of all sorts. Our daytime cafe menu will reveal a host of breakfast dishes until lunch time, where the afternoon fare of lunch delights will take over. The monthly evening offering will continue our theme of seasonal and fresh dishes, changing often, but marvellous always.

A calendar of our events, so you have more opportunity to enjoy the Juniper fare.
Dinners: Our twice-monthly dinner evenings will be hosted on every second and fourth Thursday.
Menus are released at the beginning of the month.
Sundays: That's right Juniper open on a Sunday. Whether it be a two-option set lunch menu, or an occasion where we just open the doors and do our usual thing. We will always let you know ahead of time so you can book in and enjoy a Sunday with us.

The faces behind our wine list. This is the wonderful Henry and Cassie, who own Butler's Wine Cellar in Brighton. These two and their knowledgeable and friendly team, assist us in making sure we have some lovely bottles for you to enjoy alongside our food. With huge dedication and passion towards sharing exciting and imaginative producers with their customers, they are worth knowing about and we love working with them.
We invited them across for an evening to showcase what they do best. They presented 6 different wines and we provided snacks to accompany. It was a brilliant event that was enjoyed by all and we will certainly be doing more of this throughout the year. You can order whole cakes in advance. So if you have an occasion coming up, or you just feel the need to have plenty of cake in the house, then pre-ordering a cake and collecting from us on Tarrant Street might be just the ticket.
Below is a cake list with some examples of cakes that are available to pre-order. This is not an exhaustive list but these are tried, tested and recommended by many. All our cakes are baked on the premises. We do not use any preservatives or artificial flavours in our baking. Please speak to us regarding specific allergens and ingredients, if you need to cater for dietary requirements.
Please order at least 48 hours in advance of when you want to collect. We are a very small batch bakery so if you are ordering more than 3 cakes for one collection, please place an order request at least 1 whole week in advance.

Our space at Juniper is about making everyone feel welcome and relaxed in an environment that is warm and special yet simple. Seating up to 24 guests, it may be on the smaller side for a venue however, we also know that sometimes cosy and intimate is better for more personal gatherings. So perhaps, a get-together with friends for a birthday, a celebration of an anniversary or a seasonal work party, Juniper could be just the space for you.
We offer a bespoke menu offering, which means we can design the food and drink to your exact specifications. So from a smart 3 or 4 course sit down meal, to more casual feasting style sharing plates, we are happy to create and serve food in a way that is right for you and your occasion.
